Launching the Leister Variant 700 Series Welders

In September 2024, Leister introduced a new line of Variant welders, replacing the previous models: Variant T1, Tapemat, Spriegelmat, and the Variant taping versions.

This newly engineered range offers enhanced features, allowing operators to remain standing throughout the entire process. Once the fabric is aligned, the machine self-lowers into position, lifts the top sheet, and with the activation of the final button, the nozzle automatically engages to start the welding process.

At the end of the weld, the nozzle can be disengaged with the push of a button, and the pressure wheel is lifted, ready for the next weld. Additionally, the ability to purchase different kits allows the machine to handle a variety of production tasks. It’s crucial to choose the right machine from the start, as some applications require 400V, which cannot be provided by the 230V models.

The Variant 700 is the standard welder, available in 20mm, 40mm, and 50mm widths, and comes in both 230V and 400V versions.

The Variant 702 is designed for taping, featuring a 50mm nozzle and also available in 230V or 400V.

The Variant 704 is an anti-vandalism taping system that welds a 25mm wire tape to prevent truck curtains from being cut open. This model is offered in both 230V and 400V options.

The Variant 706 is a dual-headed welder designed for structural applications, welding reinforcing strips between 80mm and 40mm wide. Due to the power needed to operate two blowers simultaneously, this machine is available only in a 400V model, with a 20mm welding width. It can also be converted into an overlap or taping machine.

Leister continues to deliver high-quality equipment for the technical textiles industry, and this new range promises to revolutionise welding by making it safer and more efficient. Contact us for more information.
