On 19 September 2024, Floor NZ, with the support of BCITO, hosted its first awards evening since 2019 at the Waipuna Hotel in Auckland.
Carr New Zealand was proud to be represented at the event, by Sales Manager, Matthew Allan and Customer Service Manager, Mark Hiscocks.
As part of our commitment to the industry, Carr New Zealand donated a Leister TRIAC AT Flooring kit, which was awarded to Jackson Bell, the winner of the Hayden McKenzie Memorial Award for Apprentice of the Year Stage 3. Jackson, trained by Measure Up Flooring, exemplifies the exceptional talent and dedication within the flooring industry.
The evening was a remarkable occasion, recognising apprentices at all levels who have demonstrated excellence in their craft. It was inspiring to witness the future leaders of the flooring industry being celebrated for their hard work and achievements.
Special thanks to David Lafaele from BCITO, Jeff Henry, CEO of Floor NZ, and the entire team for organising such a successful event. Their efforts made the evening a memorable celebration of industry talent.
We were also honoured to hear from guest speaker David Letele (aka the Brown Butterbean). As a retired professional boxer and rugby league footballer, his powerful story of overcoming adversity and the impactful work he does within the community through the BBM program left a lasting impression on all attendees.
Carr New Zealand is proud to continue supporting the flooring industry by providing essential tools and equipment for apprentices at the Flooring School, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed in their training and future careers.
